Texas GOP candidate for Congress is suspended

A congressional candidate was suspended from a business group that fights human trafficking after an investigation found that he allegedly solicited sex from an kartal escort on at least two occasions last year. 

Brad Namdar’s business, PRSB LLC, was temporarily suspended from the Texas Businesses Against Trafficking Partnership by the Texas secretary of state’s office. 

On Saturday, the published a report claiming that Namdar had two sexual encounters with a professional escort and never paid her for her work the second time. 

The woman told the News that Namdar solicited her for sex twice last May, and provided videos and photos of the second encounter.

On Monday, Namdar posted a photo with his wife to Facebook with the caption: ‘The best thing that’s ever happened to me & I’m lucky to have found you.My wife is beyond what anyone husband could ever ask for.’

Sec. of State John Scott gave Namdar until Friday to prove he did not violate the program’s zero-tolerance policy prohibiting the use of company funds to patronize sexually oriented businesses or to engage in sexual conduct that violates state or federal law. 

Solicitation of prostitution is illegal under Texas law. 

The News also uncovered allegations school records showing Namdar was accused of inappropriately touching a student when he worked at North Dallas High School in 2014.Namdar has denied soliciting the prostitute for sex and the inappropriate touching accusation.

He was working as an accounting and finance teacher a soccer coach at the time.  He is running against five other Republicans in the March 1 primary for Texas’ 32nd district.One Republican will run to unseat Democrat Rep. Collin Allred in November. 

‘I am not going to allow for false allegations towards me, my family, or anyone else to distract me from my campaign. Lies, fabrications, and attacks on my character have been done, but I will move forward.I’d like to thank our supporters during this time and let’s focus on TX32,’ he wrote in statements posted to Instagram and Twitter.

Namdar said the videos of him with the prostitute were ‘manufactured’ by individuals involved in human trafficking who were targeting him for his advocacy work. 

He questioned the validity of the student’s claims as he said he had never been contacted by the school or by Child Protective Services.  

In addition to the business group, Namdar has hosted anti-trafficking training programs and sits on the U.S.Chamber of Commerce’s Taskforce to Eradicate Human Trafficking.
