One of Australia’s highest profile escorts has slammed the ‘appalling’ decision from ING to close her bank accounts without notice.
Sydney-based sex worker Samantha X had two everyday accounts with the global bank – and esenyurt escort on Thursday was stunned to see her balance was suddenly zero after logging on.
‘Initially I thought I’d been hacked, so I quickly got on the phone to ING,’ the former journalist and best-selling author told Daily Mail Australia.
‘I was soon transferred to the relevant department, they informed me my accounts were closed as a part of a “business decision”.
‘They wouldn’t elaborate on why…the irony wasn’t lost on me, given many of my high-end clients work at financial institutions.’
She then took to Twitter to vent her frustration – and had plenty of supporters.

‘This sounds like discrimination against SWers (sex workers) to me,’ one wrote, with another stating ‘that sounds horrible…and doesn’t sound lawful.’
Samantha X, whose real name is Amanda Goff, is adamant the decision from ING had plenty to do with her ‘risque’ line of work.
‘It is 2022, lets stop discriminating against women and sex workers,’ she added.
‘For goodness sake, it is the oldest profession in the world.
‘I am a good citizen with a good credit rating…I pay my taxes and if my money is good enough for the ATO (Australian Taxation Office), it should be fine for ING as well.
‘They need to be accountable for what they have done.’
ING insist they sent Samantha X an email notifying her of the decision, but she cast doubt on the claim.
‘If banks want to get a hold of you, they will,’ she added.
‘They can also text or call, I have found this whole scenario unprofessional, baffling and appalling.’

Despite the inconvenience and lack of clarity from ING, Samantha – who has since moved to her money over to one of the ‘big four’ banks – joked her luck is due to change.
‘I’ve also been banned from (dating apps) Twitter and Bumble as they thought they were fake accounts,’ she said.
‘I wasn’t looking to recruit clients, it was a bit of fun, like any single girl I wanted to get out there and date.
‘Hopefully ING are embarrassed by their decision. I feel like I’ve been ghosted by my own bank.’
